Principle

A paddle wheel flow sensor, a measurement tool designed based on fluid dynamics principles. When the fluid passes through the paddle wheel in the pipe, it will push the wheel to rotate, and the speed of rotation is proportional to the flow rate of the fluid. By detecting the rotational speed of the rotor, the fluid flow rate can be accurately known.
